We 7, una nuova strada musicale in costruzione

I’m constantly trying to find new distribution programs for my music as well as new ways for the interaction between the artists. Internet is an important source in that way. When I was young I remember the advertising of the version of Windows 95. A boy was in a room with a guitar. He was recording his track that would be available on Internet. Then musicians of all the world would added something to this track till they created a great work. I got excited about that, I thought that “this is the future of music”. Today it’s quite hard to see things like that because the musicians think that all they create belong to themselves and nobody else. The artists must evolve. We know that it’s not so easy, but the web is moving. We7 is one of my favourite site that aims to the free and legal distribution of the songs of all artists, famous and not so famous. All this is created by a method that works. The downloader downloads every track (after the entry), the musician publishes it after the tastemaker has accepted it (even you can be a tastemaker), and he is paid according to the received downloads. Where does the money come from? From the advertising and the site fans. Shall it function?
Nowadays many artists are ready to start this program. Even I have send some tracks, maybe some of them will be accepted. I invite you to try this program. Subscribe you to We7 and try to download the first tracks. I will get you more information in the future.
I want to remember you that we talk about mp3 files, that are compressed audio files. Tasting the track with the wav audio file. A well-made and cheaper CD. Let’s talk about that another time.

Hot dream

Title : Hot dream -- Author, arrangements & performance : Fabio Ranghiero Type of file : mp3 -- size : 5726 kb

This track was characterized by three periods. In the first period I was enthusiastic because all seemed to me very original, in the second I was doubtful because it came out nothing special, while in the third I was very pleased with the track because it had an interesting structure and idea. Well, I don’t know exactly what came out but this obsessing rhythm stirred up my dreams.

Noodle - part 1

Noodle.

In the shameless banner of my home page appears the title Noodle Heaven. What does it mean? Well, now I'm ready to talk about it. Noodle is a program installed in the PC that allows you to 'play with the music', as we read in Noodle's official site. But Noodle could be also a new way to make music, and above all, a new 'era' for the listener. He, in fact, from a 'passive' subject (he only listens definite track) becomes an 'active' one (he can change the length of the track).
I'm talking about a possible revolution, unfortunately going unnoticed, maybe because of the lack of information and support by the musicians. All the operations take place via internet, so it is recommend a fast link. Noodle is now an experiment. Regularly you have to download the updating. You must register to the site (the operation is free) to have the program, than you download it (no more than 12 MB) and in the end, install it. When you use it first, your registration will be completed. After that, you can buy or simply download the tracks that will appear. In September 2005 five tracks are available, one is free (The Tower That Ate People). A track costs about 5$, you can buy it on internet by credit cards.Well, after being registered and having downloaded a free track, you're ready to start to play. This image appears to you.

Preludio 3

Title : Preludio n.3 -- Author, arrangements & performance : Fabio Ranghiero

Type of file : mp3 -- size : 4370 kb

Buon ascolto.

I’ve presented prelude n.2 in three different versions. This prelude n.3 is an only track. In the first part you can listen to electric piano, while in the second you can listen to all instruments. Of course the harmonic turn is the same in both parts. Good listening!
