Ieri alle ore 11.00 p.m. è terminata la prima fase del Peter Gabriel ' s Contest. Durante la prima fase i vari remix si sono battuti a colpi di voti. Il risultato per il sottoscritto è soddisfacente (anche se non ottimale). La trentunesima posizione su oltre 560 re-mix è da considerare un buon dato.
Ora che succede? Peter e gli altri giudici dovranno ascoltare tutti i mix e decidere il vincitore, un secondo posto e dieci "menzioni" fra i primi 25 classificati . Quindi una cosa è sicura...ho perso la menzione!!!
Il nome del vincitore si saprà il 15 agosto (alle ore 16.00 mi pare). Lascio il widget del mix in bella vista ancora per un po', vediamo se più avanti mi daranno il permesso per il download (pare di si !).
Vorrei parlare un po' di questa esperienza, ma prima vi segnalo i miei "vincitori". Sono tre:
Andrea Riderelli "the remembering game" - classificato settimo
David Minnick "one man trash mix" - classificato ventiduesimo
Oscar Lef "soundtrack" - classificato sessantasettesimo
Prime conclusioni ? Aspettando il verdetto finale, direi che l'esperienza mi è piaciuta. Gareggiare non è la mia passione infatti non penso che mi ripeterò facilmente (su indaba i Contest sono all'ordine del giorno, e sono i più svariati). Vi parlerò più avanti del sito organizzatore, www.indabamusic.com che pare molto promettente per il musicista che vuole interagire con altri musicisti da tutto il mondo.
La cosa più positiva è il numero di commenti positivi ricevuti. Anche in questo caso ringrazio Andrea Riderelli per avermi spedito, a concorso concluso, un copia incolla di tutte le impressioni:
