This is my Hammond!! My extremely heavy HAMMOND!!! I take it with me (when I can) in the clubs with great pleasure. It an old model of "sawed" C3, that means that it had been cut in 2 pieces in order to separate the "useless" lower part (useful if you use the pedals) from the upper one… in this way we achieved a "grave" 120 cm long, 72 cm deep and 42 cm high….practically it easily fits into an average station wagon together with some amplifiers. This work has been carried out by ORGAN PLATET in Lissone. The case is a bit damaged, but I can assure you that the sound is incredible!. And this is the opinion of all the Hammond player who have tried and listened to it, not only mine. At the beginning I only had a HAMMOND L100, but unfortunately it was not suitable for the kind of music I played. The basses of this model are not very powerful, and the sound is not sharp enough for a good solo use. When I play live, I amplify my Hammond with a MARSHALL keyboard amplifier bridged with a brand new bass amplifier by Roland, after having it passed through a Leslie valve simulator by HUGHES & VETTNER. I have a good Lombardi Leslie too, but I prefer to leave it at home…..it's incredibly huge.
