Dentro e fuori - ripristino post del 2 agosto 2007

Ieri ho avuto l'onore (per la seconda volta) di suonare nel carcere veneziano di Santa Maria Maggiore con amici musicisti di Venezia. Tralascio le contrastanti emozioni avute in quelle orette trascorse "dentro" per scrivere due righe. I molti giovani che hanno ascoltato il concerto sono stati educatissimi e allo stesso tempo caldissimi. Si vede che li dentro il tempo non passa mai. Ma se son dentro un motivo c'è e non voglio scrivere baggianate su di loro. Semplicemente, durante il concerto, abbiamo cercato di dare il massimo nonostante problemi all'impianto (e il mio ampli fuori uso dopo aver imbarcato troppa acqua durante il viaggio in barca.....) e la pessima acustica. Abbiamo cercato di dire a nostro modo che fuori si può anche suonare fra amici, e ci si può pure divertire. Poca cosa secondo molti, ma le loro cordiali strette di mano e i "grazie" dopo il concerto non facevano pensare ad altro. Una volta fuori torneranno ad essere quel che erano...ci sono poche speranze oggi. Ma è giusto regalare una piccola luce, cosa che ha fatto il Comune di Venezia con questa serie di concerti.

Yesterday I had the honour of playing (for the second time) in the prison of Santa Maria Maggiore in Venice with my Venetian friends musicians. I leave out the conflicting emotions I had because I want to drop a line. Many young people who have listened to the concert have been very polite and kind. Time doesn’t fly inside there! But they are prisoners because they have committed something, so I don’t want to say nonsense! During the concert we’ve tried to do our best despite installation problems (my amplifier was not working because we embarked too water inside the boat ) and a very bad acoustics. We also tried to say that out of prison is possible to play with friends and enjoy all together. At the end they warmly shook hands with us and thanked us. When they’ll be out there they’ll probably go back to what they was before… there’s little hope today. I think that the city of Venice did allow that people to see the light of day with this series of concerts.
